Help Us Pay It Forward With Play Like a Girl!

Thanksgiving is here, and we’re excited to keep paying it forward. We’ve recently passed our one year anniversary here at Eat Well, and are taking this holiday season to give back to the Nashville community that has given us so much!
Each week for the remainder of 2017, we’ll have a featured meal on our menu benefiting a Nashville nonprofit. $1 from each featured meal sold will be donated to a worthy local cause. Giving + Grub… Is there anything better?
This week, we’re partnering with Play Like a Girl! $1 from every Hawaiian BBQ Turkey Burger ordered now through December 1st will be donated to help Play Like a Girl in their mission of advancing the health and empowerment of women and girls through sport and physical activity.
It’s 2017 and if you didn’t know already, women are awesome. Play Like a Girl has known this all along, and are committed to helping girls give new meaning to doing anything “like a girl.” Through programs like after-school clubs and pop-up play days, they’re getting middle school girls involved in athletics and activities to get them moving and their confidence soaring. Their philosophy is simple: the influence of strong, positive female role models gets girls everywhere off of the sidelines and into the game - winning.
The grassroots start-up founded by Dr. Kimberly S. Clay in 2004 has grown into a national nonprofit dedicated to reaching underserved girls through programs, community outreach, live events, and an online community. Reaching over 10,000 people annually, Play Like a Girl is helping girls everywhere unleash their awesome.
Everything Play Like a Girl does focuses on three main goals: building confidence, developing healthy behavior, and improving academic and leadership skills, setting girls on a path for lifelong success. Want to help empower girls everywhere? Attend a Nashville event, volunteer, or become a member here!
